AECOM, a top engineering design firm in the U.S. working globally, serves as the prime contractor to implement the Asia Pacific Climate Change Adaptation Project Preparation Facility (ADAPT Asia-Pacific) project funded by the United States Agency for International Development's (USAID) Regional Development Mission for Asia’s (RDMA). AECOM provides overall technical, management, coordination and communications support in combination with subcontractors and resource partners to address the needs of eligible governments in the Asia and the Pacific region in accessing climate change adaptation funds and accelerating investments in initiatives that increase resilience to the negative impacts of climate change.
IGES is an environmental institute with a unique position at the nexus of research, networking and knowledge sharing on the environment in Asia will serve as the principal subcontractor implementing key tasks related to knowledge management and the annual forum.
AECOM will partner with technical organizations both from Asia and the U.S. on an as-needed basis. Other key partners include: Development and Training Services (dTS), Kaizen Company, World Resources Institute (WRI), Conservation International (CI), Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC), International Water Management Institute (IWMI), International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI), and Consortium for capacity Building (CCB)/University of Colorado.
